Rifle
Kansas rifle hunts are available from tree stands,
"spot and stalk" or still-hunting. All are very successful
ways of taking home your Kansas trophy deer. You will be
hunting Kansas Unit 8. Safety belts are mandatory
in all tree stands.
Muzzleloader
Kansas muzzleloader hunts are from tree stands.
Early muzzleloader hunts are much like our archery hunts.
Scopes are not allowed in the early muzzleloader season. Our late
muzzleloader hunts are much like our rifle hunts. Scopes are allowed.
Safety belts are mandatory in all tree stands.
2008 Kansas Deer Season
Early Muzzleloader: Sept. 22 thru Oct. 5, 2008
Youth and Disability: Sept. 13 thru Sept 21, 2008
Archery: Sept. 22 thru Dec. 31, 2008
Regular Firearms : Dec. 3 thru Dec 14, 2008
In 2008 there will be no landowner/tenant nonresident transferable
permits.
You will need send in your non-resident application between May
1st
and May 31st. The non-resident deer tag application will be available
at the
KDWP website May 1st (http://www.kdwp.state.ks.us/). The lottery
drawing
will be in the month of June and you will be notified by KDWP shortly
after
of your drawing status. The non-resident deer permit is $322.15
(includes a
$21.15 nonrefundable application fee). A Kansas hunting license
is $72.15 and can be purchased via the KDWP website. If you are
applying for a permit
we are located in unit 8.
Hunts are fully guided 5-day hunts
Blue River Whitetails will provide:
- Lodging (6 nights)
- Two meals per day (5 days)
- Sighting in of bow or rifle
- Tree stands
- Field dressing and packing out game
- Meat handling - Deliver to the local locker or taxidermist
What is not provided?
- Personal items such as clothing, toiletries, etc.
- Rifle, bow or muzzleloader, ammunition, hunting equipment, etc.
- Permits and license

Deposit
50% of cost of hunt to hold date. Balance due 60 days prior to arrival.
